I am an Austrian ecologist currently working on species response to changing climates. I have always been interested in why things are where they are thus my research has a strong spatial component. I am particular interested in plant species, community ecology, spatial ecology and nature conservation.
I currently work as a PhD at the Institute of Biology / Department of Plant Science and as a freelancer for ecological engineer offices, non-profit organisations and public administration.
My blog is about ideas, opinions and methods in the context of my research. A main reason why I decided to start writing a blog is to order my thoughts when I dive into an interesting topic and structure them into textual form.
Doing so, I hope to get in touch with other researchers in related research topics that like to share their opinions and experiences! If not credited otherwise, all photos on this site have been made by me.
